It successfully made the move from the soap dish to the dressing cabinet, now Molton Brown is lining up something special for its next trick. Namely, a trip back in time. And not with a stray flux capacitor or a bafflingly spacious blue police box, but with an impressive new range of globe-spanning artisan fragrances.
The Navigations Through Scent collection is a range of five new unisex products based on the evocative aromas of a bygone age and directly inspired by the ancient route of the spice trade.
The journey for fragrance Phileas Foggs begins with the Egyptian white jasmine of Lunu before heading eastwards to China for Lijiang’s tea-infused softness. Then there’s the spice and patchouli of Indonesia in Singosari, a whip to England via Apuldre’s grassy juniper and a final stop in the woody New World, with the elegantly masculine Canadian scent Rogart.
The entire range is now available exclusively from Harrods, starting at £55 for 50ml. Each bottle is packaged in swish warped glass and features a unique geographical co-ordinate relating to the location of the scent’s origin.
