Surely the greatest ending to a Premier League, or any league, ever?

That's not to say there hasn't been some real slobberknockers in the past (it's a word!). Take our hand as we go on a video tribute of winning last minuters involving British clubs, that have meant the world for one reason or another. Michael Thomas

Despite being labelled underdogs, Arsenal beat Liverpool 2–0 at Anfield, with a last-minute goal scored by Michael Thomas – the final goal, in the final minute, of the final game of the league season – giving them their ninth First Division title and denying Liverpool the chance of a second Double.

Nayim

Behold, Nayim's last-minute goal for Real Zaragoza in the 1995 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final against Arsenal. This lob over goalkeeper David Seaman from 40 yards in the final minute of extra time, created many an unfunny lobbing semen joke. Let's move on...

Solskjær's defining moment in football came in injury time of the 1999 UEFA Champions League Final where he scored the winning last-minute goal against Bayern Munich, completing a remarkable comeback and winning The Treble for United. You don't need to be told that, do you?

Hewitt

Middlesbrough of the Premiership, boasting Ravanelli and Juninho among their number are leading 3-2 against third division Chesterfield who were two up with 25 minutes to go (which had it ended that way would have sent a team from the 3rd tier to the FA Cup Final for the first time). Looking to be on the way out the Spireites take one last roll of the dice and Chris Beaumont punts a ball into the Boro danger zone where local lad Jamie Hewitt pops up to head a last gasp equaliser. David Pleat's bizarre gallop onto the field went down in history (thank you Fantasy Football), but what is less well known is why. His Luton team of the early 80s escaped relegation thanks to a last minute shot from Yugoslav Raddy Antic. What's more it sent their opponents Manchester City into Division 2.

Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday slogged it out in the longest cup final in history as penalties appeared inevitable. But, in the last minute of extra time Paul Merson swung a corner in and centre half Andy Linighan powered a header past Chris Woods. Arsenal had already beaten The Owls in the League Cup final a month before.
