Most expensive video game ever comes with ‘free’ car
Wondering what to do with that £100,000 burning a hole in your wallet? Well, you can’t buy the Grid 2: Mono Edition, as it costs £125,000. But it does come with a free supercar.
In order to tune up the hype for the forthcoming racing title Grid 2, the PR wizards at Codemasters have put together an eye catching – and record breaking – special edition bundle.
For a single cash-happy gamer, the Mono Edition will include a copy of Grid 2 with some ‘bespoke’ stickers, a PlayStation 3, full racing livery and their very own BAC Mono supercar.
The £101,940 Mono is a road-legal monster capable of getting you from 0-60 mph in a hurry (2.8 seconds), but the helmet and racing gear are included for a reason as the car lacks some conventional features, such as a windscreen. One seat, no boot and no CD player, the ‘lucky’ Mono Edition buyer will need to wait 6 months to get their hands on the car – plenty of time to complete Grid 2, which arrives on 31 May. Daft fools should head here to preorder the Mono Edition.
