Nando’s massive new Christmas burger is the only thing you'll ever want to eat
It's called the Mzansi Christmas Burger - and it's HUGE
Traditional Christmas food in the UK can be pretty dull. Dry turkey, burnt roast potatoes, stodgy stuffing; when you think about it, it’s all pretty uninspiring. Well, we think we’ve found a solution to spice up your festive season this year: a brand new spicy Christmas burger from Nando’s.
It’s called the Mzansi Christmas Burger and it’s inspired by traditional Christmas flavours mixed with some South African heat.
The word ‘Mzansi’ is a popular slang word for South Africa in the Xhosa language (one of 11 official languages in the country) and PERi-PERi fans in the UK can get their hands on the Mzansi Christmas Burger from this Friday 1st December.
The new burger mixes festive flavours and African heat. It’s made up of a PERi-PERi chicken breast fillet and flame grilled thigh, with mushroom and chestnut pâté, cranberry sauce, festive slaw and crispy onions.
It costs £9.25 on its own, £10.95 with one regular side and £12.65 with two regular sides.
And if you just can’t get enough Nando’s in your life, they’re also bringing out a limited edition six-pack of their PERi-PERi sauces, with all profits going to the fight against malaria in Mozambique (the birth place of the sauce). So now you can finally do some good while stuffing your face with that delicious spicy chicken.
This isn’t the first time they’ve brought out a Christmas burger but this one looks better and bigger than ever. Suddenly, I’m really looking forward to Christmas food this year…
