Netflix has just launched a very handy new website
Check your connection speed to see what's interrupting your Netflix n Chill session
There's one number that matters more to men than any credit rating, any Uber score or Fantasy Football ranking.
Your internet speed: the sweet, sweet fuel powering your evening's trip into the entertainment superhighways. The moment it dries up, it puts the brakes on your Netflix and Chill plans faster than a suggestion of watching Zombeavers.
The streaming service is so acutely aware of its dependency on broadband speeds that it's created Fast.com - a new tool for users to test their own connection (and thus sidestep any accusations that it's their app that isn't working).
Just fire up Fast.com on your laptop or mobile and it'll give you an immediate read out of your connection speed in Mbps.
"This consumer speed test is different than our Netflix ISP Speed Index," explains Netflix's vice president of content delivery architecture David Fullagar. "Fast.com measures your personal Internet connection at any given time. The speed index measures average monthly speeds of actual Netflix streams during prime time hours."
If you find yourself suffering from a slow internet connection speed, you'll want to get in touch with your internet service provider to find out what's going on.
And if you've got an impressive connection speed, be sure to stick on your Tinder profile. Women love a reliable Netflix stream.
