For a while there was a rumour of a new Daredevil film, set to wash away all memory of the Ben Affleck-starring disaster. Now, however, it's looking like Marvel have scrapped that and are now going with a 13 episode mini series as part of a deal between Disney (who own Marvel) and Netflix.
It's just been reported that the new deal is set to feature four live action adaptations of Marvel's lesser known characters, expanding the Marvel universe to the small screen. As well as the upcoming Daredevil show, there's also plans to give Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist their own 13 episode arcs.
The plan is to bring these shows out over a number of years, leading up to a fifth mini series called 'The Defenders' in which they all band together into 'a dream team of self-sacrificing heroic characters'.
In the comic books The Defenders were even tricked into fighting The Avengers. Now there's a cross-over we'd love to see.
