New Snowpiercer Trailer Thunders In

Those of a nervous disposition toward train travel might want to look away now.

This is the new Red Band (we can only imagine the red stands for blood because frankly there’s lots of it) trailer for Snowpiercer, an upcoming dystopian action thriller starring Chris Evans and based on the French graphic novel of the same name.

How dystopian? When a new Ice Age obliterates the planet apart from the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a Noah’s ark with wheels that hurtles across the globe on a consecrated perpetual-motion engine and where passengers are mercilessly divided between space-age upper class and Dickensian lower class, a revolution looms.

As you’d expect from its source material, the visuals from director Bong Joon-Ho look show-stopping, while A-list support (Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell Octavia Spencer and John Hurt) certainly bodes well for its arrival.

Though if nothing else, we’ll never feel sorry for ourselves being slumped in Virgin economy again.
