It would seem that the makers of Titanfall (who also helped make Call of Duty, which is quite a good game) were struggling to determine which hook would lure more gamers to their flashy shooter - giant mechs or jet packs? Mechs are cool, can crush buildings and shot enormous guns, but jetpacks are, well, jetpacks. So they settled on including both.
This is the latest trailer for the PC and Xbox One exclusive shooter, demoing a frantic multiplayer game in the war-torn Angel City. In a departure to the standard 'lobby-play-die-play-die-lobby' experience of multiplayers past, Titanfall adds cinematics to further the game's narrative. We thought this might distract from the mechs and jetpacks, but it appears to work quite well.
Titanfall arrives for Xbox One on 13 March 2014
