Take up your arms Nords, string your bows Altmers - the Ruby Throne sits empty and greatness awaits whoever is brave enough to claim it.
If that made no sense at all, chances are you're not an Elder Scrolls fan. Elder Scrolls Online sees the hugely popular RPG series head online (obviously), causing havoc to all calendar appointments and weekend plans that don't involve serious amounts of screen time.
As this new trailer makes clear, Online will be playing host to vast battles, epic quests and an altogether more sociable Elder Scrolls experience (if killing friends and strangers in open battle can be described as social).
Arriving on PC and Mac on 4 April 2014 and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June 2014 (no specific date given), fans best clear their diaries.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
