As their magnum opus The Expendables 2 hits cinemas this weekend, Lionsgate and Warner Bros have cleverly dropped trailers for 80s action heavyweights Arnie and Sly's next solo projects.
First up it's The Governator in his first lead role since 2003's Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. In The Last Stand he plays the sheriff of a small town who is forced to protect the locals from the leader of a drug cartel who is on his way through to the border. It also stars Johnny Knoxville and Peter Stormare and contains plenty of age jokes. Obviously.
Next comes Bullet To The Head, a departure for Stallone as he plays a rule-playing postal worker who avoids trouble and spends his days playing age-appropriate board games. Yeah, not really. He stars as a maverick hitman who sees his partner murdered and, even though he was supposed to be getting out of the game, he teams up with a cop to kill the guy what done it. It also stars Christian Slater and contains plenty of age jokes. Obviously.
The Last Stand hits cinemas on January 25th and Bullet To The Head opens on February 1st
