Papa's got a brand new, 3D printed, woven bag - and it's not like anything you've ever seen in the changing room.
This is the Nike Rebento Football Duffle - a 'performance' sports bag that appears to have arrived from the future. Featuring a 3D printed base that mimics the stud plate of Nike's Magista and Mercurial football boots, the lower portion of the bag is given a ridged body thanks to a laser-sintered nylon weave structure. The upper is a far more conventional hand-stitched leather affair.
Currently only three of the bags are to be made, set to carry the boots and belongings of misters Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr. (whose design can be seen above) around Brazil. Along with their luxury luggage, the players will also be receiving a new shin guard that incorporates the same 3D printed technology: The Mercurial FlyLite Guard's structure apparently providing more consistent impact absorption than traditional foam pads.
The FlyLite Guards will arrive on Nike.com from 1 July, but you're going to have to watch this space to get your hands on the duffle.
