You needn't be a multi-millionaire rapper suffering from OCD to appreciate the benefits of owning abundant pairs of pristine white Nike trainers - a mere walk to the shops would be enough to see them sullied in the drizzle of autumn and frosty slush of winter.
Which is where Nike’s brilliant new Sneakerboot collection comes in, taking classic designs of already popular Nike kicks and treating them to a rugged, all-terrain country club-like overhaul.
First up, we have the new version of the Roshe Run, now with heat-retaining, water-resistant upper and a synthetic fur lining. Then there’s the Lunar Force 1, utilising its chunkiness and taking it up a notch by adding some Lunarlon cushioning.
There’s even something special for the classic Air Max 90 and Air Max 1, each turned into the thicket boots which you could well trample around the shops on Christmas Eve and gift someone with the following day.
We're not sure why the press shots purport to show the Sneakerboots levitating in mid-air, though that would certainly be one way of ensuring they remain in mint condition...
The Nike Sneakerboots will be out from next month
