Nike's Native American-Inspired Kicks

For their latest incarnation, the Nike KD 7 silhouettes are going native. Native American, specifically.

Adorned with streaking leather strips and fitted with a salmon insole, the shoe carries on from where the last edition left off, only taking it one step further with this rather unusual tribute.

If the bright tan suede doesn’t immediately transport you to the scorched lands of the American west, the colourful textile patterns etched onto the pull tabs should be enough to convince you that they’d look just as at home on the feet of Sitting Bull as a Chicago Bull.

Clearly, it’s much more than a gimmick – it’s an earthy, rugged and colourfully aesthetic which was born to be channelled into an already successful trainer line.
