We need each other, and we believe in each other: the distillation of what made Oasis great can be found in the lyrics to Acquiesce, and you're reminded of them when you watch this brilliant trailer for the forthcoming Oasis documentary Supersonic.
The film, which has been directed by Mat Whitecross, focuses on the band's rise to fame over the three years leading up to their peak: the two 1996 shows at Knebworth.
It's easy to forget what a phenomenal journey it was - from the council estate to global fame - and the movie, which has been put together from hours of new footage, interviews with bandmembers including both Noel and Liam, their long-suffering mother Peggy, road crew and label executives, promises to lift the lid on exactly what it was like to be there.
Three clips from the film were recently previewed at a special screening at Festival No. 6, which took place last weekend, where Whitecross stated his belief that the band would one day reunite, saying: "Neither of them have discounted the idea of getting back together. It will happen, I'm sure. The idea of never seeing them again for me is impossible."
Supersonic is in cinemas 2 October
