Saffron is usually used as a note or an accent, but Jo Malone’s new Cologne Intense is the first to champion the spice as a predominant focal ingredient. A vibrant spicy note with leather characteristics – it has been reinterpreted to highlight the intriguing golden accords with base notes of blond wood, with the creamy, comforting texture giving the scent a modern feel. Spiced with pink pepper and top notes of incense, the fragrance opens up with a fresh and spicy kick which then develops into warm, deep-heated facets. Sensuous saffron pervades the heart of the scent from the top to base.
