The esteemed Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit director Peter Jackson has revealed that he'd consider directing an episode of Doctor Who.
Jackson was speaking to New Zealand newspaper The Waikato Times and, when asked if he'd be interested in directing an episode, stated "just name a time and place, and I'll be there!"
He also revealed that he was a huge fan of current Timelord and ShortListcover star Matt Smith in the interview - Smith had previously suggested the hookup, and said said he'd campaign 'endlessly' to make an episode in New Zealand after meeting Jackson at an American comic convention.
The Doctor Who links don't stop there though, with former Doctor Sylvester McCoy playing wizard Radagast in the forthcoming first installment of The Hobbit.
What would Jackson's Doctor Who look like? The same but with smaller actors? Hopefully we'll find out...
