Reebok team up with Garbstore for genuinely cool tracksuits
Seventies sportswear that belongs on the catwalk rather than in the Job Centre
Reebok Classic is teaming up with Garbstore for their very first collaboration of limited edition sportswear inspired by the seventies.
By the description, it could make you think it's just full of statement thrift store finds, but the collection couldn't be further from it. The collaboration features premium washed organic cottons, vintage-inspired styles and colour-schemes combined with a unique, faded twist on the Reebok logo that take over the likes of wind runner jackets, trakcsuits and t-shirts. So it's more catwalk than fancy dress.
“For our latest collaborating with Reebok Classic, we wanted to bring to life a collection that evokes memories of afternoons spent wasted browsing through the racks of our favorite local sporting good stores, looking for a sleek new running suit,” said Ian Paley, founder of Garbstore. “In our minds, there was no better brand than Reebok to bring this nostalgia to life with.”
Two new trainers are also being introduced too, the Workout Plus and the new Classic Phase, designs based on two of Reebok’s most iconic silhouettes from the same era, the Classic Leather and the Phase II Runner.
Garbstore x Reebok will be available from 19 August with new drops following through autumn
