Cronuts. Labradoodles. That time the Punisher appeared in the Spider-Man cartoon. The list of successful crossovers just got a footprint longer with the arrival of Reebok's cracking sneaker boot, the GL 6000 Mid in glorious Flash Red.
While not the first offspring of a running shoe and eyelet-laced boot, Reebok's latest effort succeeds where many (mainly Nike) have failed.
A hardy winter-ready construction, the GL 6000 Mid keeps the panelled suede sections of its sporting father, extending the original silhouette with a nylon ankle section. Golden boot eyelets and a thick rope lace accentuate the rugged aesthetic of the shoe without confusing the overall look.
Yet to receive a UK release, you can hunt down the Flash Red boot tops at Wish Atlanta for around £70.
