You can (and should) now float down the Regent's canal in a hot tub

It's called a hot tug and you want to be in it immediately

You can (and should) now float down the Regent's canal in a hot tub
14 June 2017

Yeah yeah, boats are cool and all that, but the annoying thing about them is that they aren’t hot tubs. It’s a problem that has plagued seafarers across time and space – “I don’t half like this boat, but it’s not a hot tub, and that is extremely troubling.”

But hey, this is 2017, and times have changed. If you want to float a hot tub down the river, then you can damn well float a hot tub down the river. It’s all thanks to the HotTug, which is (no, get your mind out of the gutter) a floating, engine-powered hot tub that moseys down the Regent’s Canal in Islington. That’s you and six of your mates, gannin dan the river with your heads at water-level – it’s a unique experience to say the least.

Each trip lasts an hour and a half, and the toasty tub is heated up to 38 degrees by a wood fire at the bow of the boat, so you’re alright in this bad boy whatever the weather.

“But are you allowed to bring alcohol on it?” you screech at me, holding your towel, sunglasses and Lambrini. Well, yes, you are, but don’t take the piss (a rule which also literally extends to, well, you know what). However, one person must be a designated driver, and won’t be able to chug on a beer as they chug down the river.

OBVIOUSLY you want to do this, so why not help out the guys behind the idea by heading on over to their crowdfunding page here, to grab a nifty discount before it launches on July 12? You’d have to be an absolute landlubber not to. Don’t be an absolute landlubber.
