Laurel leaf, clary sage, green cypress: they sound like the stage names of some dreadful Sixties folk singers, but they actually make up Reiss’s superb new fragrance.

Topman aside, it’s not often you see a high-street retailer branching out successfully into a signature scent, so Reiss’s debut attempt is noteworthy for its quality.

In collaboration with store founder David Reiss, ‘nose’ Azzi Glasser has concocted Black Oudh For Men (£49 for 100ml, £35 for 50ml) – a blend of the ingredients above, as well as vetiver and, of course, black oudh. Splash on, ASAP.
