Russian Daredevils Take Over Hong Kong Skyscraper Billboard
Talk about timing...
In the same week you can’t type ‘Hong Kong’ into a computer without seeing the ongoing Occupy Protests, comes footage of a decidedly different takeover in the megacity.
This newly released video is from hackers-cum-daredevils Vitality Raskalov and Vadim Makhorov of YouTube channel On The Roofs, who, with help from a crack team of friends, we see infiltrate a major skyscraper and take over one of the most prominent billboards in the city.
From rustling up masks and disguises for the daring raid, to leaping through fire exits in their pursuit of the final goal, the rushes via head-cam serve up some real breakneck thrills, only bettered by some truly cinematic-looking camera shots from above – the final money-shot pulling away really does hammer home the true size of the feat.
Falling somewhere between Oceans Eleven and Exit Through the Gift Shop, it’s highly audacious. But did you expect anything else from someone called Raskalov? The little rascal.
