This Scottish newspaper just destroyed Donald Trump's inauguration in their TV guide
Need some ice, Donny?
Many people will inevitably be mourning on the afternoon of 20 January, as Donald Trump is sworn in as the 45th president of America.
But The Sunday Herald is here to lighten the mood momentarily with a brilliant burn in printed word.
Under the subheading ‘The Twilight Zone’ the newspaper’s TV guide describes the event as alternate history, comparing it to “What If The Nazis Had Won The Second World War.”
It goes on to add a wonderfully apt description:
“This huge virtual reality project, which will unfold on TV, in the press, and on Twitter over the next four years sets out to build on an alternative present. The story begins in a nightmarish version of 2017 in which huge sections of the US electorate have somehow been duped into voting to make Donald Trump president.
“It sounds far-fetched, and it is, but as it goes on it becomes more and more chillingly plausible.
“It’s a flawed piece, but a disturbing glimpse of the horrors we could stumble into, if we’re not careful.”
No doubt The Donald will take to Twitter shortly to shout ‘FAKE NEWS!’ at the publication, because it’s not like he needs to run a country or anything.
