They attack you at the seaside, swooping down from on high to steal your chips - now you're not even safe in your own home.
Margaret Bellhouse, from Paignton, a town in Devon, has found herself under siege from golf balls, dropped by seagulls flying over her house.
"I was sitting in the living room one evening when I heard something land on the roof and then roll down and into the back yard. When I went out into the yard I saw a couple of yellow balls but didn’t think much of it - I just thought maybe it was the children in the house upstairs." said Bellhouse, who has seen over 50 airflow practice balls land on her roof.
"It happened again, and this time I saw a gull fly down after the ball, take a look at it and then fly off again. It just keeps happening. I’ve tried to find out where they are from but nobody has any idea."
Experts believe that the gulls think that the balls are mussels, are so are dropping them from height, in an attempt to crack them open to reveal food inside. Either that, or they're all indulging in some target practice for their very own Fly-der Cup.
