The final Sharknado film is going to be about time travel. And sharks
Did you know there have been five so far? FIVE?
There have been five Sharknado films, which is interesting, isn’t it? They made a silly film about a tornado with sharks in it, and it was so popular that they made four more of them. They made Sharknado, then they made Sharknado 2: The Second One, then Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, then Sharknado: The 4th Awakens and finally Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.
Well not finally, because they’re doing a sixth one - six whole films about a tornado with sharks in it. That’s a lot of films about a tornado with sharks in it. You could say: too many films about a tornado with sharks in it.
But the SyFy channel have promised that this will be the last one. So where do you go when you’ve made five films about a tornado with sharks in it? Surely you’ve explored every angle? Even space? What else is left? Well, time-travel. Obviously.
This one will involve Ian Ziering’s Fin Shepard (yes, his name is ‘fin’) attempting to travel back in time to stop the first sharknado (a tornado with sharks in it), and will be directed by noted auteur Anthony C. Ferrante, director of all five installments so far.
Along with Ziering, other cast regulars like Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo, and Vivica A. Fox are returning to the esteemed series, as are the sharks, and the tornado, which will please fans of tornadoes with sharks in them.
The film is as-yet-untitled, but expect something along the lines of Back To The Sharknado or Hot Sharknado Time Machine or I Shall Go Back In Time To Stop The Tornado With Sharks In It, Just Watch.
Expect to see it this summer. Or is it last summer?*
*It’s a time-travel joke, you clowns
