Ever wondered how much Daisy and Tim would have really paid for their flat in Spaced? Or if Sherlock and Watson could have genuinely afforded a flat on Baker Street?

If you also have problems differentiating between fiction and reality, then you've probably had these thoughts almost as many times as we have. In order to finally put our minds at rest, we spoke to Miles Shipside from Rightmove, who priced up six TV homes for us.

Peep Show

Mark and Jeremy's flat

- Zodiac Court Croydon (see it here)

- 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, ex-LA hi-rise flat in CR0

The Peep Show flat, which is owned by Mark and rented out to Jezz throughout the series, has been located to Zodiac Court in Croydon. Landlord Mark can expect around £400 per month from Jezz to rent out a room.

Spaced

Tim and Daisy's flat

- Carleton Road, Tufnell Park (see it here)

- 2 bedroom flat in a converted period house in N7

The house where Tim and Daisy shared a flat in Spaced has become something of a visitor attraction over the years for fans of the cult TV series. The property is located on Carleton Road in Tufnell Park and flats in the building have come onto the open market to rent a handful of times since the series aired. Normally a 2 bedroom flat within a period property in Tufnell Park like the one Tim and Daisy share will fetch around £1,500 per month.

Being Human

The original house

- Windsor Terrace, Totterdown, Bristol (see it here)

- 3 bedroom terraced house in BS3

The property shared by Mitchell, George and Annie in the first series of Being Human is owned by Annie’s former fiancée Owen. He could have reasonably expected around £740 a month for the flat in 2009 when the series started and we calculate that it may be worth upwards of £820 in the current market

This Life

The main flat

- Anchor Terrace, London (see it here)

- 5 bedroom Victorian terrace in SE1

Trainee solicitors Anna, Miles, Milly, Egg and Warren shared a home on Anchor Terrace in SE1 throughout the much-loved 90’s series. Anchor Terrace is located within a sought-after row of Victorian terraced properties on Southwark Bridge Road and is thought to be built above the original Globe Theatre. The characters will need to have progressed to a top city lawyer salary in order to buy a property of that type in today’s market, with similar homes going for upwards of £1.5m.

Sherlock

Sherlock and Watson’s flat

- 2 bedroom flat above a shop in NW1

The location we see for 221b Baker Street in the BBC’s Sherlock series is actually 187 North Gower Street which is around a mile away, close to Euston station. Sherlock’s flat sits above Speedy’s sandwich bar which has also been used for a number of scenes in the show and has become a popular visitors attraction for fans. When the show first started in 2010 the flat would be able to command rents of around £1,700 per month and may be pushing £2,000 in the current market.

Outnumbered

The family house

- Dempster Road, Wandsworth (see it here)

- 4 bedroom Victorian family home

The Brockman’s family home is set in Chiswick in the show, at the fictional address of Keely Road in W4. However the exterior of property they live in has been located to Dempster Road in Wandsworth. Four bedroom Victorian family homes in both Wandsworth and Chiswick are highly desirable and are priced at anything upwards of £800k.
