The Sopranos has long been known as the pinnacle of leisurewear on television: ten years since it went off the air, the indelible images of Paulie Walnuts, Tony, Silvio (sometimes) and Christopher in two-tone zip-up shell-suits remains embedded on the consciousness.
American tastemakers KITH NYC and Midtown Manhattan department store Bergdorf Goodman also know that, with the second joint venture between the pair starring the man who played Christopher Moltisanti, Michael Imperioli, a man who has never aged, and who still shines in their new, perfectly judged lookbook like the floodlights off the Jersey Turnpike.
The capsule sees KITH go about their business of premium material casualwear with the added boon of BG x KITH branding. The drop saw full-zip hoodies, pullovers, tracksuits, shorts, tees, and headwear set in very Sopranos-y colourways like burgundy, navy, and forest green. KITH NYC are situated at the coalface of hypebeast fuckery so the drop – on this past Friday – was pretty popular, with much of the smaller price-tag items already gone, but there’s still some choice jackets knocking about – including an ace forest green quarter-zip – that’re perfect for plating up some capocollo and moaning about your goomar in.
