Spotify is offering subscribers a free Google Home Mini – but you’ll have to be quick, because it’s a limited time offer.
The music streaming service is giving users the chance to get the smallest (and cutest) of Google’s smart assistant products completely free of charge.
To get your hands on one of the devices, you’ll have to sign up for Premium for Family, a package that costs £14.99 per month and covers up to six users living in the same house.
As the name might suggest, the Mini is one of Google’s smaller smart assistants.
Normally costing £49, the Home Mini allows users to plan their day, add to do lists, dim their lights, control their smart home devices, get directions, play music and more – all via voice control. It’s part of a wider package of smart devices from the company – it also offers a larger Google Home device, which costs £69, as well as Chromecasts, smart phones and Wi-Fi routers.
The Mini also comes in a range of colours – so you can even match it to your decor.
Unusually, Spotify isn’t just offering the deal to new customers – users already on the plan are are able to get their hands on a Mini, too.
“Being able to access thousands of Spotify playlists via the Google Assistant has always been a seamless experience, so giving families the power to do it from anywhere in the house with the Google Home Mini is a natural next step,” said Lionel Guicherd-Callin, European product manager at Google, in a press release.
“With a simple, ‘Hey Google,’ the whole family can enjoy their favourite music, while also using it for other helpful assistance designed especially for families.”
Want to claim your speaker? You can get it here. Be quick though – the offer only lasts until 14 May or “while supplies last”.
