You may not have actually seen Spring Breakers but chances are high that you'll have been very aware of its tawdry existence.
The internet-baiting film about a group of young women drawn into a world of drugs and crime was a modest success and it looks like we're getting more neon antics rather soon.
In their slate for Cannes, sales and production company Wild Bunch has announced Spring Breakers 2: The Second Coming (get it?) which will see a new set of barely clothed teens take on an extreme Christian sect that attempts to convert them.
Quite surprisingly, the script is being penned by Irvine Welsh, which piques our interest, while the film will be directed by Jonus Akerlund who was behind the similarly debauched Spun back in 2009.
There will apparently be "allusions" to the original characters yet the cast will be a mix of returning and new faces.
We're guessing that James Franco is probably too busy acting/directing/Instagramming/talking to your niece to be involved.
