Stephen King Reveals His Favourite Underrated Books
Legendary author Stephen King has revealed his three 'criminally underrated' books - and one of them has been out for just a year.
King revealed his choices to Entertainment Weekly and the three picks were:
-The Double by George Pelecanos, which was only published last year and is the second book, after The Cut, to feature the character Spero Lucas, a young Iraqi War veteran.
-Germinal by Emile Zola, first published in 1885 and, according to King is, "a terrific novel of a labour strike, as fresh now as it was a hundred years ago".
-Headhunters by Jo Nesbo, which came out in 2008 is "hilarious and creepy...couldn’t put it down". A Norwegian film version of this was released in 2011 and became the highest-grossing Norwegian movie of all time, with a Hollywood remake due to enter production soon.
If Stephen King approves, then so do we; we'd recommend investing in all three and seeing what you think of them.
