Sumptuous Sunset Overdrive Launch Trailer

What with their huge budgets and excessive launch campaigns, video games are under a lot of pressure to be the "Best Thing Ever" these days. They need to have Hollywood visuals, A-list actors, a storyline that'll be adapted for the big screen in years to come - or they can go down the route of Sunset Overdrive.

Forget cloaked assassins and stubbled anti-heroes. As illustrated by its new, manic launch trailer, Sunset Overdrive is pure unadulterated fun. The weapons are ridiculous, the story nonsensical, the outfits borderline insulting - it revels in being as different as possible from the Call of Assassin's Auto crowd. 

For a taste of the "awesomepocalypse" set to arrive on Xbox One on 31 October, watch the trailer below. Here's hoping it lives up to its own silly, wonderful hype.
