Supreme is a master of brand power play. By the simple placement of its stark red box logo, a white t-shirt can instantly raise in value from £15 to £50. Their stickers, pencil tins and skateboards can all command unlikely prices. We shudder to think what they'll be asking for the excellent results of their latest Nike collaboration.
Reworking the low cut GTS skating silhouette with a gorgeous textured herringbone canvas upper, a leather heel section allows Nike to sneak in a second swoop logo onto their shoe, lest you forget their involvement in the project. Supreme gets its own iconography in with a small label tag and italicised script on the heel, as well as bossing the overall colourway: bright red with a fat white mid-sole unit.
It's a bold, beautiful reinvention of an ordinarily budget shoe. Keep your eyes on the Supreme web store for news of an immanent release date.
