There is no more joyous part of football than the act of scoring a goal. That rush of euphoria; the sheer elation of seeing your team achieve the ultimate aim of the game.
But one team got lost in the moment just a little too much...
A recent match between Mozambique's Ferroviario Maputo and Zambia's K-Stars saw the Mozambique team score a beauty direct from a free-kick, whereupon their entire team - including, crucially, the goalkeeper - embarked upon a lavish celebration. It had nearly ended when they decided to then celebrate with a local primary school that had become supporters of the team, while the ball ping-ponged back, eventually finding its way into the hands of the K-Stars.
With the team all in their own half, play could thus restart, even though the players were not in position - and the K-Stars took full advantage, leathering a shot straight into the unguarded net.
Next time, just stick to one of these celebrations, lads - all classics but, usefully, none resulted in an instant equaliser.
