If you go down to the woods today, you're in for an HD surprise.
Well, not today. The developers of the trouser ruining Slender: The Arrival have announced that their atmospheric creeper will arrive on PlayStation 4 on 24 March, before freaking out Xbox One owners on 25 March.
While many "unofficial" Slender titles have been giving PC gamers sleepless nights for years, Blue Island Studios' The Arrival is the real deal. Developed in collaboration with Eric "Victor Surge" Knudson who first birthed this bone-chilling Internet boogie man back in 2009, The Arrival sees players searching for a friend who's managed to get herself lost in some woods. Armed with a flash light and a naive sense of adventure, you set off into the gathering gloom, trying your hardest to ignore that feeling of being watched. Sure, it isn't going to match titles like The Order on graphical clout, but it's coming with a sack-load of tension.
If your idea of a fun night in involves explaining to your flatmates why you threw the TV out the window, proceed to the following trailer.
