The sun is shining (sporadically, granted) and people are smiling. This means summer is coming and it’s time to air your pasty limbs.

And now you can take care of the summer wardrobe in an afternoon: Seven Dials and St Martin’s Courtyard in Covent Garden are holding a Spring Shopping Festival on Saturday 17 May from 12noon-5pm.

It’s a must-visit destination for top fashion brands, one-off concept stores and heritage labels. Both areas will be traffic-free, with DJs and bands playing in stores, a free drink from the Bloom Gin pop-up bar at St Martin’s Courtyard and more. Plus, 100 shoppers will receive a tombola ticket to win prizes from the likes of Superga, Fred Perry and Lee Jeans. There’s even a pop-up lawn around the Seven Dials monument to add to the summer vibe, along with live music curated by Strummerville, a charity set up by the great Joe Strummer’s family. Another essential stop is Le Coq Sportif’s ‘L’Atelier du Coq’ in-store flocking customisation service, plus the just-opened Farah store on Earlham Street. There’s also outdoor food and drink from Flesh & Buns, Rossopomodoro, La Bottega and more.
