When it comes to this almighty surfboard, the only ‘wipe out’ you’ll need to worry about will be the inside of your wallet.
The Rampant will set you back a cool £760,000. Taken aback by the figure? There is a valid reason why the chunky 6cm thick sports accessory costs the same price as a supercar. Not to mention sounding like one.
Sanded down by high-end and experienced New Zealand surfboard shaper Roy Stuart, this Paulwonia timber wave-hugger doesn’t merely look incredible, it’s been methodically designed to give the best ride on the water there has ever been.
With a single concave stretching from soft nose to tail, resulting in a lower centre of gravity for the rider, the frame also contains two unique fins (one a 6-inch kahikatea wood tunnel, the other a punctured polycarbonate addition) to deliver rapid acceleration when piloted.
And if all that weren’t enough, it's finished with a regal 23-Karat gold figure of a lion outlined in semi-translucent red resin.
You know, so you won't get it mixed up with other surfboards.
