The humble beer has truly gone gourmet with America's latest creation.
The Chicago-based brewery Moody Tongue has unveiled a 5% lager that is made using Australian black truffle, which will cost an eye-watering $120 (£70) a bottle. They are aiming to create a market for 'culinary brewing' - where beer is combined with food for a unique flavour.
Brewmaster Jared Rouben hand-shaved the truffles and consulted with chefs in order to achieve the perfect balance; the rare delicacy is combined with hops from Germany and Pilsen malt.
If your wallet can take it, visit the Moody Tongue website to sign up for updates - it's set to be available in New York and Chicago initially, before launching elsewhere.
