The Champions League & Europa League finals are going to be streamed free on YouTube
Great news for fans
Paying out for Sky Sports for many people is a serious financial commitment. And paying out for BT Sport on top of that is often a step too far.
So, people who have been starved of European football this season, rejoice - because BT Sport has announced that it will be screening the finals of both the Champions League and the Europa League for free on YouTube, as well as its own channels.
Get them in the diary: Liverpool will play Sevilla in the Europa League final in Basel on Wednesday 18 May, while Real Madrid will take on city rivals Atletico in the Champions League final at Milan's famous San Siro stadium on Saturday 28 May.
If Liverpool win their match, it will not only gain them another European trophy, but it will also give them entry into next season's Champions League, potentially becoming England's fifth entrant.
BT Sport signed an £897m three-year deal in 2013 to screen 350 fixtures across both European competitions from 2015, with the deal including a clause to show at least one match involving a British team for free each season.
