Smartphones are so mid-2000's, smart watches aren't selling and smart glasses? Please. It's all about the smart headphone.
That's the hope of Bragi, the German company behind The Dash - the world's first wireless smart headphones.
Crammed into these unassuming buds are noise cancelling tech, 4GB of storage (the equivalent of 1,000 songs), a Bluetooth headset and an ear bone microphone to allow you to make calls from your smartphone - all of which makes them a rather brilliant alternative to lugging a tangle of cables with you on your next run.
But that's only the tip of The Dash's brilliance: a host of sensors track your movements, heart rate, pace, cadence, body temperature and even oxygen saturation, giving you a full run down of your fitness performance and body vitals. Connecting to a smartphone or computer after your workout will allow you to download your data. These are the smartest things you've ever stuck in your ears.
Having smashed their Kickstarter goal, we'll have to wait until October to see if The Dash live up to the hype. You can bag a pair for around £120 by visiting their project page now.
