To say Hiroshi Fujiwara has fingers in many pies would be doing a disservice to the output of the baking industry. They simply wouldn’t have enough pies – the man’s got a lot going on.
Along with being responsible for the birth of Japan’s hip hop scene, and cultivating the cult status as DJ/musician to the point he was awarded a cameo in Lost In Translation, Fujiwara is also a pioneer of fashion; most famously Nike’s HTM Line and Levis’ Fenom Line.
And he’s been working with Nike once again, for some sterling footwear which turns down the futurism and ups the retro: the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1.
His team at Fragment have treated the classic Air Jordan 1 to a fittingly neat black white and royal upper, embossing Fragment’s bolt logo on the heel. In short, they look great and are a seriously special edition.
While there’s no word on price or release – let’s be honest, these aren’t high street fodder - we advise you to keep your eyes on Fragment's website forthwith.
