Then again, that’s if mankind can fully appreciate the technological qualities brought to the fore by alt Dutch luxury fashion brand Spacelife, utilising aerospace technology and fully inspired by classic space jackets in pursuit of greatness.
Slated for release a year from now (NASA doesn’t exactly make its merchandise in a day), the brand have announced the key piece of its line-up: the Mars Line jacket – limited to 100 pieces and primed to launch in September 2015, costing £1250.
But why risk constantly looking like you’re on your way to a fancy dress party? Crafted from a range of high-end innovative materials to keep your body warm, it’s also wired for connectivity, using built-in speakers and Bluetooth connectivity to seamlessly unite your digital life – in case in case Mission Control, or your mum, wants to call.
And then of course there’s that thermal fabric, which, when waiting for that bus into town on a chilly day, will almost feel like cheating.
