Remember 'Bendgate' - the storm in the iPhone 6 Plus tea cup?
To recap, it seemed that many Apple devotees hadn't handled a phone with the girth of the new 5.5-inch model.
While common sense would dictate that such a large piece of metal shouldn't be placed in, say, your back pocket, this was exactly what some people did. When sitting on their new gadget in such a position, they were horrified to see that it would bend, in some cases even snapping the screen.

The coverage of bendgate was disproportionate, with common sense thankfully prevailing - but that doesn't mean that Apple wants to repeat this nightmarish piece of PR.
The tech obsessives at Unbox Therapy claim to have got their hands on the body of the new iPhone 6 S, set to be revealed in the next few months. While the case doesn't appear altogether different from the current iPhone 6, Unbox Therapy demonstrates that the new case is in fact thicker in key areas, to prevent "the bends".
So, Apple is learning from its 'mistakes', and the new iPhone won't bend from your misuse.
Best practice: treat it like a £650 piece of technology, and don't get upset when it breaks after you used it as a chopping board.
