The McDonald's Big Mac sauce bottles have just sold out, but here's where to get one
If there is a burger heaven, then this is what they serve at the holy canteen
If there is a burger heaven, then this is what they serve at the holy canteen.
The sauce for McDonald’s legendary Big Mac has been a closely-guarded secret for years, making their flagship meat and bun stack the most famous fast food burger on the planet. Well, a secret up until now...
The fast food giants this week bottled a limited run of their legendary sauce in Australia, and priced each of the 4,000 500ml bottles up at just $4.99 (£2.48).You can probably guess what happened next.
That's right: the whole lot got snapped up in as little as 15 minutes in some restaurants, with many entrepreneurial Maccas fans whacking their tasty little cash cows straight up on eBay.
It’s not the first time the secret sauce has become available to the general public, though. In 2014, MacDonald’s offered it to customers on eBay, with some bottles going for as much as £8,800.
With that small fortune in mind, if you’re tempted to fill your fridge with the good stuff, get over to eBay’s Australian site, and fast. There’s a stack of auctions going at around the $50 mark (£25), which is almost nothing in comparison, meaning you can be lovin' it without having to take out a small mortgage.
