The most brutal reactions on Twitter to England's defeat by Iceland
You’ve got to hand it to Roy Hodgson and the England team. Their baggage, that is.
Sparing fans the familiar heartbreak of exiting a major tournament on penalties, the Three Lions surpassed even themselves in terms of international embarrassment last night, losing to minnows Iceland by two goals to one and putting in arguably the worst performance of the past few decades to ensure they get home even earlier than anticipated.
But as Roy got about tendering his resignation and his coaching team went looking for Harry Kane, last seen in the Nice area at 9pm local time, the best place for analysis for fans wasn’t a TV studio but Twitter, where once again there were a few laughs, a few tears, and uncontrollable sobbing.

Steve McLaren proved a master of comic timing
A horrifying statistic emerged

We got a better replay of Joe Hart conceding that second goal
But he is head and shoulders above the rest
The Welsh team remained impartial on the matter #passion
