"Smart casual"…
Nothing gets the blood pressure rising quite like scanning an invitation to lay eyes on that tricky, near oxymoronic ask.
Are loafers paired with jeans acceptable? Or how about a t-shirt with a blazer? Or, perhaps biggest question of all, can you wear a pair of out-of-the-box fresh trainers to a fancy evening do? Frankly, sometimes even chinos can’t pull you out of that quandary.
And now, not long after piquing our interest with the most casual tracksuit ever, Nike is skewing the lines between smart and casual once more, with these glossy trainers made in sponsored_longform with designer Pedro Lurenco.
Taking inspiration from the glitzy aesthetic regularly employed by the Sao Paulo designer, the shoes boast both a traditional leather upper and polished metallic leather heel and back quarter, meshing both sports shoe and dress shoe.
The Pedro Lourenço x Nike Blazer Low will be available to buy online and at select NikeLab locations from 4 December.
Oh, and if you’re wondering what to pair them with, the clue's is in the title...
