We're all for discretion when it comes to ringtones. Anyone who's ever been on a bus, gone to the cinema or left their house will surely agree.
But Nokia might be taking the need for peace a little bit too far. The mobile phone giant has applied for a patent for technology that will aim to completely internalise future calls. Users will have a magnetic tattoo on their arm which will transfer a tingling sensation when their phone rings or their battery is low.
The only visible sign that someone has a call will be a quick scratch of the arm. There will be a variety of different pulses for various alerts, including an impending appointment or meeting.
It's early stages for the technology as Nokia have only just filed for a patent for the specific technology that detects magnetic signals from phones, once added to skin.
We've mocked up an idea of how it might look above. You're impressed with our skills right? Right?
