What’s the story? Look, it's not all about Daft Punk, OK? Christine and the Queens is the performing name of Nantes-born Héloïse Letissierm who moved to London in 2010 to study and ended up making a French language album, Chaleur Humaine. It made her a star in her native France, going more than five-times platinum. Now she's turning her attention to the rest of the world, rereleasing the standout track Tilted (complete with its utterly brilliantly choreographed video) which adds in some English lyrics but retains some of the original French too. She's also repurposed the track Here, releasing the video, erm, here which gives you a bit more of an indication of what she's all about (namely brilliantly cool electro, pure style and a Haim-esque vocal style). She's already sold out London's Koko, while the English release of Chaleur Humaine is due 26 February, so hopefully the rest of the UK will soon be joining us in saying nous t'aimons.
