Who? Pandora Drive
What’s the story? It's always pleasing to see an act really attempt to go for something artistically epic, and London dance duo Pandora Drive have certainly done that with the unveiling of their first music video for Unoriginal Sin. Beginning with a poem and lasting nigh on eight minutes, it's accompanied by a seriously trippy (and slightly NSFW) short film directed by one half of the act, Thomas Knights, the first of a series which will explore the story of Alice, "a girl desperate to escape her perfect life for something more dangerous". It certainly lives up to its billing, being dark and sleazy in all the right ways, while the track itself is more than good enough to stand on its own, slinking along with a great pitchshifted vocal. Released on Beatport on 12 Feb, this is an act we'll be watching with a keen eye.
