New indie hopes for 2016

The ShortListen: The Hunna (no. 228)

Who? The Hunna

What’s the story? The cupboard of good new guitar bands has been worryingly bare for a while now - where is the next band producing indie classics that can break through into the mainstream and give the public an act they can believe in again? Well, there's finally another contender in the shape of The Hunna, a Hertforshire four-piece who follow a promising end of last year with this bold statement to kick off 2016 - a blistering anthem with fizzing energy and enough bluster to imagine it being sung back at them at festivals and in stadiums some point down the line. Ones to watch for the year ahead.

For fans of: Sundara Karma, Blossoms, The 1975

In three words: No-nonsense indie blast
