Before you pore over this eye-catching timepiece, we should point out that skull watches have been around for some time now. Since the 17th century, in fact, when Mary Queen Of Scots had her own jaw-hinge design.
And while poor Mary ended up having her own head lopped off, this ironic twist of fate has clearly not deterred fellow Scot Fiona Krüger from using the aforementioned slice of historic horology as the chief inspiration of her newest work: SKULL.
Also taking influence from Mexico’s Day of the Dead, the limited-edition timepiece has been hand-crafted in Switzerland (where else?), and incorporates a TT718 mechanical manual movement along with hand-decorated 3-layer dial, laying bare the innards of the cranium itself.
The SKULL comes is available as original or black. Though with only 12 of the pieces made for each colour, it will set you back just over £10,000.
