The Terrifying Sex Calculator That You'll Wish You'd Never Seen
It’s 2015. We live in a world of sexual freedom not seen since the swinging sixties. People are getting freaky-deaky left right and centre and it’s sort of both brilliant and terrifying.
Working on the sociological idea of the six degrees of separation theory (we’re all connected by just six friendships/relationships), this calculator created by Lloyds Pharmacy shows some pretty terrifying sexual health stats.
Namely how many peens and lady bits you’ve probably come into contact with. For example, if you’re someone that’s had sex with four people you’ve effectively been exposed to nearly two million other sexual partners.
Yup, two million.
The calculator works by taking the numbers of partners a person has had and then by multiplying it by the partners they are likely to have had. And then by the partners that those partners could have had until we reach peak six stages of separation.
Ultimately hitting a true festival of heaving flesh that could have (by some degrees of separation) been on you and your increased your chances of catching an STI.
A spokesperson for the pharmacy said: "This calculator is not a diagnostic tool but it highlights how exposed you can be to STIs, and how this risk increases with each new partner.
"‘It’s not just your direct partners that you have to worry about, but your partners’ partners, and their partners’ partners, and so on."
The world of sex is a risky place folks. Look after yourself.
